Saturday night rodeo

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

On the way to Yellowstone, just into the great state of Montana, lies a piece of heaven. A place where people bring their own beer and pink lawn chairs, sit in the back of their pick-up trucks and watch the rodeo. I got to the rodeo just as the last bull ride was in process. It was dark and there was four lights lighting the entire arena. A correct exposure would be f 2.8, 1600 ISO and 1/10 or 1/30th of a second if I am lucky. So none the less it will be a challenge. The games begin right as the sun is going down and I will be there.

How do you drive in this??

Golf feature

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

I shot golf on Monday. It was my only assignment. Since we pick out our own photos I was torn between the two (first and second). I went with the second image because I figured it was unlike every golf photo they have run in the paper. The photo editor was not to found of it the next day. It is all a learning process I guess. But I did find a rock gym that is made in a old grain silo that I will be visiting weekly because I am getting fat.

The road to Idaho, Day 2

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

The day started with driving through three hours of snow and ended in the flat plains of Wyoming. Very beautiful day with amazing scenery. For more words read Blair’s blog.
